If you’re a serious hiplife fan from the early 2000s you probably will know of an artiste called, Okra Dawidi. Okra was one of the rising big acts in Ghana from Hammer of the last two’s camp.
His hit song that blew the minds of Ghanaians away was Ayekoo which featured fellow rapper and one of the pioneers of rap in the Ga language, Tinny.
After decades of the song, hiplife artiste, Pope Skinny has come out to reveal that he was the artiste who was featured originally in the song and not Tinny.
According to Pope Skinny, he finished his part on the song which was recorded and produced by Hammer only to later found out that his verse in the song was taken out and Tinny was the new artiste who was brought in to fill the void.
For the first time, Pope Skinny has shown the whole world the true original song which actually contained his verse. In a moving car, the Akuapem rapper was playing the song and rapping along his verse in it.
He asked several questions demanding answers from Hammer to know why he was taken from the song. He suggested that Hammer took him out of the song because of his relationship with Jay Q, who was a rival of Hammer at the time.
