One half of the Nigerian twin singers, P-Square, Peter Okoye popularly known as Mr P, has opened up on his new album and many things relating to the defunct P-Square music group.
The singer cum dancer was a guest on Beat FM with host, Osi where he made a number of revelations.
He explained that his new album is named the “Prodigal” which is quite different from prodigal son. So he advised that those linking it to the biblical story should stop.
He revealed also that, he wanted to release the album last year but it was postponed on three different occasions.
He planned to release it on his birthday last year but this came at a time when he and his family had covid-19. As a result, he had to postpone it.
The time set for the release of the album also coincided with the End Sars protest across Nigeria. He had to put it on hold again and to help fight for the necessary reforms to happen in the police hierarchy of Nigeria.
Just when he thought he could release it, his personal Disc Jockey, DJ Switch had to go on exile due to the role she played in the End Sars protests especially during the Lekki toll gate shooting.
Touching on his haters in the industry, the dancer noted that he has none but just some heartbroken P-Square fans who can’t wait for the group to return.
