Takoradi based Ghanaian hi-life singer, Kofi King Arthur, fondly referred to as Kofi Kinata has a unique way of celebrating the 64th independence day of Ghana.
Ghana, on the 6th of March, 1957 gained her independence from its colonial masters, the Great Britain.
Every year, on the 6th of March, the day is marked to remember the fallen heroes in this fight.
The independence day celebration, for the first time in many years has been observed without the usual national, regional and district parades. This was due to the insurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kofi Kinata took to the kitchen to take charge as the chef for the day to celebrate Ghana’s Independence Day.
In a short video he posted on his social media platforms, he said he was preparing jollof to mark the day.
He feared he might not be able to cook the jollof well, he mentioned that in his interaction with the one who took the video of him.
