Yesterday, Ghanaian actress and socialite, Akuapem Poloo was sentenced to 90 days prison term for posting nood with her son to celebrate her 7th birthday last year.
After the judge delivered the judgement yesterday, Ghanaians have been sharing their opinions on the issue.
The Ghanaian social media space is divided over the issue. Many people are of the view that the law doesn’t work equally for all citizens.
They cited instances where politicians and other influential Ghanaians have committed various crimes and the law has left them off the hook but goes vigorously after “weak” Ghanaians.
Afia Schwarzenegger, the self-acclaimed queen of Ghana comedy is one of the few who feels that the jail sentence serves Akuapem Poloo right.
This, of course, stems from her hatred for the socialite.
Her actions prompted Ghanaians to dig and bring out a photo of her and one of her twins passionately k!ss!ng in public.
They argued that if she’s approving the punishment for Akuapem Poloo then she should equally be taken on for posting inappropriate photos online.
One of the twins has reacted to the comparison. He said in a video that, they’re adults and can decide what to do with their lives. He admonish Ghanaians to learn about the laws of the country and stop making unnecessary comparisons.
