Ghanaian reggae and afro-dancehall superstar, Stonebwoy has commiserated with the victims of the recent k!LL!n& in Nigeria.
For the past few weeks, Nigeria has been hit with series of protests from the youth to demand the total dissolution of the tactical unit of the police force, SARS.
After days of piling pressure on the powers that be, their request was finally granted. The Inspector General of police, Mohammed Adamu announced the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad – SARS and in its stead, they introduced another tactical unit called SWAT.
The citizens rejected the new unit outrightly but the authorities ignored their protest.
To curtail the protest which was simultaneously happening across the various States, the authorities in States like Lagos imposed curfew on them.
Yesterday, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu unleashed troops of soldiers to go and disperse harmless protesters and they ended up taking away lives of promising youth.
Stonebwoy has therefore sent in a comforting message to the victims. The artiste, who is noted for producing conscious music put together some of his songs as a way of comforting the affected families.
