Celebrated Tanzanian music star, Diamond Platnumz has recounted how expensive it was for him to feature Davido in 2014.

The singer in an interview with Nairobi News disclosed he had to spend more than ten times what he used to spend on his music when he wanted to feature Davido on the song, “Number One”.

This, he said almost led him to bankruptcy and he had to seek for financial support from the banks.

Nonetheless, he lauded the collaboration saying that it opened some doors for him and that propelled him to higher heights.

With Number One, I went ten times higher and spent KSh 3.3 million or thereabout to fly Ogopa Djs video crew to Cape Town, South Africa, and shoot my video.
