After winning the disputed VGMA Artiste Of The Year, Kuami Eugene has been on a different level of disrespect, according to music fans.
This has earned him some level hatred in the industry. You can detect this from the comments he’s receiving following his beef with Guru.
The Lynx Entertainment signee is embroiled in a controversial beef between himself and veteran Ghanaian rapper, Guru.
It’s widely reported in the media that Kuami Eugene said he declined a request for a feature from Guru because Guru disrespected his boss, Richie Mensah.
Guru and his team saw this as a disrespect from a newbie in the industry like Kuami Eugene. They replied from different angles and it seems most music fans have been monitoring Kuami Eugene and has taken their time to show him his place in the industry.
From how things were unfolding, Richie Mensah, boss of Lynx Entertainment saw the need to clear some issues.
He wrote a long epistle detailing what led to the current strained relationship between the two music camps. But he couldn’t sway the fans with his sophistry.
He explained that Guru reached out to him and other management members for a feature with either Kuami Eugene or Kidi but they turned his request down.
Later Guru was all over the media making disparaging statements about him and other members of Lynx Entertainment.
According to him, it was this development that led Kuami Eugene to say what he said in the interview.
Kuami Eugene shared the tweet and wrote that he didn’t disrespect anybody as being circulated but that, he was only being loyal to his boss.
He dedicated all his achievements to Richie and promised him that there’s no way he will ever betray him.
