Celebrated Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale has made a video to mock the members of parliament for the 8th parliament for fighting in parliament some days ago.
On the 6th of January, 2020, the Ghanaian legislators from both sides of the house got into a fisticuff over a number of issues including who occupies the majority side and the election of the Speaker of parliament.
During the voting to elect the speaker, a lot of despicable acts happened. Some defied the secret ballot rule by showing their votes to the cameras after casting their votes.
Other were captured on camera kicking ballot boxes in protest of the voting process.
The height of it all happened when the member of parliament for Tema West, Carlos Ahenkora snatched ballot papers and bolted. He was later chased down and those ballot papers were retrieved from him amidst beatings.
Shatta Wale whiles reacting to this, recorded a video where he described the actions of the MPs as despicable and likened it to American soccer or Rugby game.
He also remarked that, he needs to call Stonebwoy because they did some two years ago was nothing at all, compared to the law makers did.
An entertainment journalist with Citi FM/TV, Kwame Dadzie posted the video on his Twitter handle. Watch the video below.
