Celebrated Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo known famously in showbiz as Sarkodie has lend his voice to the growing “Fix The Country” movement on social media.
Ghanaians have been pushing the government in recent days on social media to get them fix the country as they believe the country is broken owing to the high cost of living coupled with some other economic hardships.
The hashtags have been changing on social media because those known hashtags have been reported severally and got banned on twitter.
In the heat of all the brouhaha, Sarkodie was one celebrity who was very quiet. People started calling him out on social media for him to break his loud silence.
Some even accused him of being in bed with the ruling government – a reason why he cannot criticize what was going on in the country.
He has now reacted to the calls and have thrown his weight behind the movement.
In a letter he posted on his Official twitter handle, he wrote that once the country is fixed the citizens will automatically be fixed.
He dismissed reports that he was in bed with the NPP government, adding that he criticizes all governments equally.
He admitted that the citizens need to fix their attitude but that, a lot lies in the hands of the government.
