You would recall that in 2018 another bigwig in the Nigerian entertainment industry accused Wizkid of stealing a song from Danny Krane to record his hit song, Baba Nla.
His name sake, Ayodeji took to twitter on September 25, 2018 to allege that the song Baba Nla was actually the brainchild of Dammy Krane.
He tweeted: “Dammy Krane recorded Baba Nla, Wizkid stole that record … that’s a fact.”
Back to Ghana, Wizkid is on record to have sampled songs from VVIP and Tic Tac in recent times. He sampled Ahomka wom and Fef3nef3 from VIP and Tic Tac respectively.
So this accusation coming in has just added to the many instances where the Grammy Awards winner have been accused of stealing songs.
Even though music sampling, to some extent, is legal, there’s a way one goes about it without being caught in the legal web.
